So! I guess we should apologise for how long we've been absent from this blog.

Hi! It's been a good while since out last post, but for great reasons. We had such a busy easter holiday here at Sing-it and we've not really stopped since. There were some amazing sessions in and it was really buzzing. It is so nice to see so many people coming and going and really enjoying the time they spend with us. Now we seem to have finally entered spring, we look forward to loads more great singers coming in and recording their favourite songs.

This post will detail just some of the highlights from the last couple of weeks and we'll finally be able to show you some great videos from past blogs!

One such highlight is a secret session! Published here, the facts are the same, but the names have been changed...

Not really, but it was a secret and we can tell you that a group came in to record just one song. It was for a wedding at the end of May. They groom and his men came in to record the first song, and it was incredible. The bride is still unaware, believing they all came to Birmingham for a suit fitting. We certainly won't spoil it by uploading any video or sound just yet, but we can definitely say she will be more than a little happy with it. We're proud to be a part of someone's big day.

Also, we had a party for Katie Walker's 11th birthday. You know how these go by now, and they're always really, really fun and exciting for the kids. She had bought along 6 of her best friends and as soon as they entered the room, they were enthusiastic and enjoyed every minute.

After the session, we always try to ask people for their thoughts and comments. we are always really delighted with what people write, and thought we would share. Here is what Katie had to say:

"I really enjoyed the day and so did my friends! We all had laughs and it was a great day! What a fantastic treat and I will definitely recommend it!"

We haven't spoken about our YouTube channel in this blog as of yet. This is where we upload all the sessions that inlcude videos. Of course, the person who experienced their day gets a copy, but we also upload one to our channel so they can share it with whomever they please. On Saturday, over the Easter weekend, we had a great party for Meera. Herself, and 4 friends spent 3 hours in the studio with our pro engineers and recorded 3 of their favourite songs.

As with all the Birthday parties, the girls also recorded a music video and it must have been one of the most energetic we've ever seen! It's the first Harlem Shake we've had since the phenomenon began and they loved it!

The songs they sang were:
Bruno Mars - Grenade
Fun - We Are Young (Video Track)
Rihanna - Diamonds (The Birthday Girl sang this on her own)

Of course, our engineers were there to get the best out of the group and they really did on this day. While the day is about having a great, fun party, we also want people to take home the best product they can and leave with something to be really proud of. A bit of production went into the Fun track and the party was split up into groups for different parts and some full ensembles to really make the most of the song.

As ever, all this work makes the group hungry, so they stopped half way through for pizza and snacks that the studio always provides. Their parents had bought some snacks and non-alcoholic wine too so the girls were totally stuffed. We always encourage this and love to see people having a great time.

This weekend we had a fun loving group for Katie Britten's Hen Party.

This time, the session was a complete surprise to the hen, Katie. She wasn't told what they were doing until they got to reception! It was great to see this unfold and she was really pleased at what her friends had done for her. We get a kick out of provided joy and fun for people, and it's brilliant to see a gift so well received.

The girls had chosen 3 songs to record after they partook in the complimentary champagne! The hen party sessions always include a video and for Katie, the song they chose to film was Bonnie Tyler's "Total Eclipse Of The Heart".

Other songs they performed on the day were "Mr. Brightside" by The Killers and Tiffany's "I Think We're Alone" in which The Hen was given a small solo.

Of course, they were here for a real, pro studio experience, so they did a few takes of each song and were able to decide on their favourite.

After their amazing day, they were off to paint Birmingham red! There is no better way to get into the party mood than singing great songs with all your best friends.
